In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I are talking about something every real estate agent should know: Land flipping. I know, I know, we’re aaaaaalways talking about land flipping. But that’s for a reason! And the reason is that land flipping is a pretty lucrative real estate business model. And it’s a business model that can turn into the ultimate side hustle, especially for real estate agents.
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I are going to be discussing how you can fund your land flipping deals without using any of your own money. Sounds too good to be true? Well, we’re here to tell you it isn’t!
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I are continuing on with last week’s episode and answering all of your most burning land flipping questions. Today, we will be tackling a bunch of interesting questions we’ve received from our amazing community, from how to make your lead process more efficient to whether or not you need to set up an LLC for your land flipping business to when you should clear a land and more.
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I are doing a… DRUMROLL… Q&A! Yes guys, many of you have been messaging us and commenting and tweeting at us with all kinds of questions about land flipping. And so we thought why not answer aaaaall of our community’s questions together in one episode.
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I share with you how you can build the best real estate investing business from scratch in 2023. You see, building a real estate business isn’t easy, no matter how simple we make it look. It took us a lot of work and time to get where we are today. And we decided to share our knowledge with you guys, because even though we went into real estate investing nearly blind, you don’t have to.
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Heather and I sit down with the one and only Sam Primm. Sam is a father, husband, entrepreneur, mentor, and real estate investor. He is also the founder of Faster Freedom, the nation’s premier real estate investing education company. Before discovering real estate, Sam thought he would have a normal life. Work a nine to five job, retire at 65, never build his own thing… But, that all changed when Sam decided to invest in real estate!
In this week’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast, Pete and I discuss how you can flip land, become financially independent, and retire early (or FIRE, as the cool kids call it). You see, most people who invest in real estate do it because it gives them the opportunity to become financially independent. You don’t have to rely on a job anymore, and you can make all your money from investments alone.
These last two years have been, to say the least, hectic. The pandemic has been shaping (and changing) everyone’s lives for the last few years, and it has affected everything, from the way we shop to how we work to… you guessed it, the real estate market. And many are now predicting a real estate market crash. Is there any truth to those predictions? This is exactly what we discuss in today’s episode of the Turning Profit podcast!
A little over a year and a half ago, Maddie and Ashley came to us to ask about our real estate business. They were curious about it and wanted to know how it all worked. They wanted us to teach them how they could do it on their own. We were so happy they expressed interest in land flipping. Pete and I were always talking about our wins and challenges, and it seems they were actually listening (every parent’s dream)! So we thought, why not? We taught them everything we knew and decided to help them all the way. The girls pooled their money together ($4,000 each) and put it in their company’s account. And that’s how the adventure began.
All a land flipper does is purchase land from a seller at a low price (usually below market price) and quickly sell it for a profit. This is especially true for investors who have the patience to research properties, find the most profitable ones, and do everything possible to buy said properties and make the right changes to them.
Pace is a host for A&E’s Television show “Triple Digit Flip”, which has been signed for 6 seasons and is currently one of the top real estate shows on TV. He is also one of the most creative real estate investors in the industry, with over 1,500 doors in his portfolio… most of which were acquired via creative finance.
Land flipping is based on a pretty simple model. You buy a property from sellers, you improve it a bit and make some minor changes to it, and then you resell it with a real estate broker or on the market.
Wholesaling is a great way to dip your foot in the water without buying properties left and right. It’s also a great way to start your real estate journey because, as Jamil says in this episode, “with some grit and some time and sweat equity, you can generate a lot of money.”
Over two decades ago, Pete and I met and got married. Then, in 2000, we bought our first house. It was an off-market deal, a starter home in San Diego that we bought for $195,000, and we were very excited about the whole thing.
